Taking cognizance of Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board conducted the State-wide Competitive Written Examination for 190 Marks on the 16th of September 2017; we look forward to Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board to announce the Result post-release of the Final Answers Key for the Test Question Paper Booklet in Set A, Set B, Set C & Set D subject-wise (Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology / Production Engineering / Textile Technology / Printing Technology / English / Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Modern Office Practice). However, we anticipate Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board to declare in November 2017 the Results for the Competitive Written Examination for 1058 Posts of Lecturers (Engineering / Non Engineering) in Government Polytechnic Colleges in Tamil Nadu Educational Service.

TNTRB Lecturers Examination Expected Cut-Off Marks:
Tamil Nadu will determine Communal Roster specific Expected Cut-Off Marks before Announcement of the Results for the Tamil Nadu Lecturers (Engineering / Non-Engineering) Competitive Examinations aimed at drawing up Provisional Merit-cum-Select List for Certificate Verification for Appointment to the Posts of Lecturers through Direct Recruitment of Lecturers (Engineering / Non-Engineering) in Government Polytechnic Colleges 2017 – 18.
The Candidates shall have to obtain the Minimum Qualifying Marks in each Part as well as in Aggregate. The General / Un-Reserved Candidates with Maximum Marks in the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Test shall be considered for Selection subject to satisfying the Eligibility Criteria including the Weight age of the Marks to Qualifying Examinations. However, Reserved Category Candidates will be granted Relaxation in Minimum Qualifying Marks. The Candidates with the Category-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Examination shall be summoned for Verification of the Testimonials (Certificate / Document) including the Academic Qualification and Professional Experience.

Direct Recruitment of Lecturers (Engineering / Non-Engineering) in Government Polytechnic Colleges 2017:
Certificate Verification:
The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) will prepare the list of Candidates for Certificate Verification in the ratio of 1:2 based on the Written Examination Marks duly following the communal rotation and other relevant rules in vogue.

Selection Criteria:
After Verification of the Certificates, the Total Marks secured in the Optical Markup Reader Based Written Examination by each Candidate shall be arrived at by adding Weight age Marks to the OMR Based Written Examination Marks. A Merit List will then be drawn up on this basis. Selection will be made from the Merit List duly following Merit-cum-Communal Rotation.
Selection to the Post along with Final Result will be published on TN Teachers Recruitment Board Website; viz., the Final Eligibility of the Candidates shall be subject to the decision of Teachers Recruitment Board and the Appointing Authority. The Appointment Orders will be issued by the Department concerned to which the Candidates are provisionally selected, after verifying their respective Eligibility for the Post they are selected.
