NCHMCT JEE Entrance Test 2018-19, Admissions | Application Form | Counseling:
Briefly state with reference to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Notification in respect of Joint Entrance Examination for admission into Hotel Management & Catering Technology Course for the Academic Year 2018 – 19 in the subsequent Paragraphs.
The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology shall announce after mid-May 2018 the Results for the NCHMCT Joint Entrance Examination Written Test.
The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, based on the Candidates’ individual Performance in the Joint Entrance Examination / Written Test 2018, would declare the Results and All India Merit List and Ranks before notifying Counseling.
NCHMCT JEE Admissions 2018-19
Courses offered:
B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration and 09 (Nine) other structured Courses of Studies that are imparted at the existing 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 19 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management, (01) One Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) and 13 Private Institutes of Hotel Management affiliated with National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT). 09 (Nine) Food Craft Institutes located in different Parts of the Country offer Diploma Programs in specific Operational Areas. All the Institutes follow Standardized Course Curricula prescribed by the Council for different Professional Programs.
NCHMCT JEE Entrance 2018 Application Form
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit (As On 01.07.2018):
General Category Candidates and Other Backward Classes Candidates shall be given Upper Age Limit of 22 Years.
Relaxation in Upper Age Limits to Reserved Candidates.
Qualifying Examinations For The Indian Students
- Plus Two (+2) Level Examination in the 10+2 Pattern of the Senior Secondary Education of any Recognized Central / State Board, such as, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) or the State Boards of Secondary Education (SBSEs).
- Intermediate or Two-Years’ Pre-University Examination (PUE) conducted by a Board / University recognized by the Central Government / State Government.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level.
- High School Certificate Examination (HSCE) awarded by the Cambridge University.
- Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or in a Foreign Country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as Equivalent to 10+2 Pattern of the Senior Secondary Education.
- High School Certificate Vocational Examination (HSCVE).
Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE) conducted by the National Open School (NOS) with a minimum Five Subjects including English as one of the Subjects in the Qualifying Examination.
Selection Criteria:
On the basis of performance in the Optical Mark Recognition Based Written Test / Joint Entrance Examination / Written Test of the Joint Entrance Examination – 2018, a Unique Rank shall be allotted to each Candidate (no separate Rank for General, SC, ST, PD, KM Categories) to be Eligible for Counselling. Our Endeavor is to make the Counseling and Admission Process Candidate-friendly and reduce their anxiety and other Procedural difficulties.

Marking Scheme for Joint Entrance Examination / Objective Written Test:
Each Correct Answer under Numerical Ability & Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning & Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs and English Language components carry 01 (One) Mark. For any Wrong Answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted.
The Graded Mark(s) will be awarded under Aptitude for Service Sector Component in the following manner; the most Appropriate Answer carries 1.00, the next appropriate Answer carries 0.75, the next to next appropriate answer carries 0.50 whereas the inappropriate Answer shall carry Negative Mark of 0.25 to be deducted.
NCHMCT JEE Results: 2018
The Result of Written Test shall be announced on the Council’s Websites www.nchmcounselling.nic.in/ and www.nchm.nic.in/ in the Third Week of May, 2018.
NCHMCT JEE Merit List: 2018
All India Merit List of the Candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the Marks secured in the Joint Entrance Examination / Written Test. In case the Candidates secure Equal Marks, then the Merit will be determined as under;
- The Candidate securing Higher Marks in English Component of the Joint Entrance Examination shall rank Higher;
- In case of the Candidates securing Equal Marks in the Joint Entrance Examination, as well as in English component of Joint Entrance Examination, then the Candidate securing Higher Marks in Service Aptitude Component of the Joint Entrance Examination shall rank Higher;
- In case of TIE in (i) and (ii) above, the Candidate Older in Age shall rank Higher.
NCHMCT JEE Admissions 2018 Counseling
The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology would declare Counseling Rounds on the Website only. First Alert in concurrence with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Communiqué on the same would be put up for display on Website for the ready reference of the Candidates declared Joint Entrance Examination Merit-listed. The National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology shall release LATEST by mid-May 2018 Counseling Program.
Counseling Procedure:
There might be Four Three / Rounds of Counseling and decided Spot Admission for Seat Allotment likely to commence towards May-end 2018 and closing towards June 2018.
A Pass in 10+2 System of Senior Secondary Examination or its Equivalent with English Language as one of the Subjects. The Candidate must have passed English as a Subject of Study (Core / Elective / Functional) in the Qualifying Examination.
Those appearing in 10+2 or Equivalent Examination may also appear in the Joint Entrance Examination 2018 on Provisional Basis. Provisional Admission will stand cancelled, if the Proof of having passed the Qualifying Examination (10+2 or its Equivalent) is not submitted at the time of Counseling or at the time of Admission.
The offer of Admission is subject to Verification of Original Certificates / Documents at the time of Counseling / Admission. If any Candidate was found Ineligible at a Later Date even after the Admission into an Institute, then his / her Admission shall stand cancelled.

- Sale of Application Form and Information Brochure shall commence soon from affiliated Institutes, NCHMCT OFFICE, NOIDA.
- The date of Written Test Examination shall be declared soon.
