Briefly state with reference to VIT University Notification in respect of VITEEE 2018 for admission into Bachelor of Technology Course offering different streams at Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amravati Campuses for the Year 2018 – 19 in the subsequent Paragraphs. Online Registration commenced on the November 2018 with the Deadline for Online Application Forms closing soon.
The Controller of Examinations shall host the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination 2018 commencing shortly. The Office of the Controller of Examinations may declare application form at the quickest possible. Vellore Institute of Technological University shall conduct the VITEEE 2018 in Three (03) Shifts starting shortly.

Minimum 21 / 22 Years.
The Candidates born on or after the 1st of July 1996 (01.07.1997) are Eligible to apply for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2018.
Educational Qualification:
The Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2018 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology (PCM/B) in the Qualifying Examination (+2/Intermediate).
The Average Marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its Equivalent) put together should be 50% for the SC/ST & North-East States.
The Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone Eligible to apply.
The ‘National Institute of Open Schooling’ (NIOS) Candidates are eligible to appear for the VITEEE – 2018.

VITEEE 2018 Admit Card
The Registrar, upon scrutiny of the Applications Forms received through Online / Offline Mode, shall upload Minimum Two Weeks before commencement of VIT Engineering Entrance Examination 2018 the e-Admittance Cards / Hall Tickets on VIT University Website.
Exam Scheme of the VITEEE 2018:
Vellore Institute of Technological University (VITU) shall conduct the VITEEE 2018 as per the Subject-wise Syllabus. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination 2018 shall comprise Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English.
Vellore Institute of Technological University shall conduct the VITEEE 2018 in the Computer Based Mode (CBT) as per the Pattern of the VIT EEE 2018 briefly detailed in the Tabular Format shown herein above.

| English | 1. Question Nos.121 to 125 are Questions on English Language and it will be Multiple Choice Questions 2. Question No.121, 122 and 123 are Comprehension Questions. They are based on Short Passages (30 – 50 words) or Lines of the Poems (2 – 3) or Dialogue (2 Exchanges) 3. Question No.124 and 125 are based on English Grammar and Pronunciation. 4. The Candidates should read carefully the Texts and the Questions that follow and choose the CORRECT / BEST Answer from the Options given for each Question. The Passages, Lines of the Poems, Dialogues, Grammar and Pronunciation items are chosen to suit the level of VITEEE-takers. |
VITEEE 2018 : Counseling
The Selection of the Candidates into B.Tech. Course shall be strictly in order of the Equating Methodology.
Submission of the Documents at the time of Counselling:
The Candidates shall have to produce the following documents in Original together with Two Sets of the Photocopies while reporting for Counselling.
The Candidates will not be allowed to participate in the Counselling Process without the Documents, as mentioned here under:
- VITEEE-2018 e-Admit Card, Counselling Admit Card and VITEEE Result Copy
- Class X Board Certificate as a Proof of Date of Birth or any Age Proof Certificate
- Mark-Sheet of the Qualifying Examination (if available)
- Community Certificate (For SC/ST only)
- Nativity Certificate (For Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern States (viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
- Demand Draft for Rs. 50,000/- drawn in favor of ‘VIT University’, payable in Vellore.
- The Candidates without Demand Draft for the above said Amount will not be permitted to attend Counselling.
- The Candidates will only be allowed to participate in the Counselling Process, after Verification of Documents, Authentic Records pertaining to Identification, Age, Mark-Sheets of the Qualifying Examination, Community, Nativity (if applicable) and other Eligibility Criteria as specified in Section-3. If any Candidate fails to produce any of these documents, then he/she will not be considered for Admission into Bachelor of Technology Course.
A Candidate should decide for certain on whether he / she should join the Program based on the Branch allotted to him / her at the time of Counselling before payment of the Fee.
Allotment of Branch & Campus once made is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
