The Assam Public Service Commission is set to notify for Combined Competitive Examination 2017 Result of Test consisting of Objective Preliminary Test (for Maximum 400 Marks), Main Written Examination (for 1400 Marks) followed by Personality Test (carrying Maximum 200 Marks) for selection to different Posts different Ministerial Department under the Government of Assam State:
APSC Combined Competitive (Prelim) Exam 2017 Result:
Assam Public Service Commission shall announce the Result for the State Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2017 for 400 Marks only after releasing the Final Answers Key for the Test Question Booklet of Assam State Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2017 conducted on the 2nd of July 2017 with the aim of Shortlisting the Examinees for the upcoming Mains Written Examination for 1400 Marks scheduled to be held in November 2017.
APSC Combined Competitive (Prelim) Examination 2017 Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks:
Assam Public Service Commission shall determine and declare the Minimum Qualifying Marks to be obtained in each Papers and Minimum Total Marks to be secured by the Candidates in concurrence with Announcement of the Result for the State Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination 2017. Only Candidates having obtained the Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks separately in both Test Papers each for 200 Marks (Totaling 400 Marks) in the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2017.

Selection Criteria:
Assam Public Service Commission shall announce the Result in concurrence with the Final Select List drawn up strictly in order of Higher Merit on the bases of the Candidates’ respective Performance and Marks secured both in the Main Written Examination and Personality Test / Personal Interview for 1400 + 200 Marks adhering to the Norms of Vertical and Horizontal Reservation as per prescribed law in force.
The Assam Public Service Commission shall conduct the Personal Interview / Viva-voce carrying 200 Marks. However, the APSC shall not consider the Marks secured in the Interview as the Final Qualifying Marks.
The Assam Public Service Commission shall add the Total Marks secured by the Candidates at the Viva-voce / Oral Test to the Marks obtained by the Candidates in the Written Part of the Main Examination in order to determine the Final Ranks of the Candidates before recommending the Candidates having been the Rank on Sufficient High Marks both in the Mains Written Examination and Interview put together.
