The Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Odisha, in compliance with the Department of Posts, India Post Office (IPO), based on the Candidates’ respective Performance and Marks scored by them in the Multi-Tasking Staff Cadre Direct Recruitment Examination 2017 for Recruitment to the Posts in the Positions of Postmen (IPCs), Mail Guards (RMS) & Multi-Tasking Staff (Postal Circles, Railway Mail Services Divisions and Circle & Administrative Offices & Subordinate Offices), shall shortlist the Candidates taking into consideration the Category-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks already determined and the Subsequent Viva-voce, Skill Test (wherever Applicable) and Documents Verification. OCPMG Odisha Postal Circle MTS Objective Written Aptitude Test 2017:
The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT) – the Government of India, the Office of Chief Post Master General, Odisha, shall host the Optical Markup Reader Based Screening Test / Written Aptitude Test (WAT) comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type for 100 Marks.
The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Office of the Chief Postmaster General pre-stipulated Community-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks / Minimum Percentage of Marks as follows:

Selection Criteria:
The Department of Posts shall declare the Results on behalf of the Office of Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle. India Posts shall also separately prepare the Common Divisional Level Merit based on the Candidates’ Individual Performance in the Written Aptitude Test from among the Candidates having applied and declared Qualified to the Posts for the Division / Unit Concerned.
The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT), Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Odisha, shall prepare a Common Merit List for the respective Postal Circles / RSMDs and Circle & Administrative Offices Postal Divisions / Units, Subordinate Offices in respect of all Categories of the Posts put together.
Procedure for Selection:
Final Selection to the Post of Multi-Tasking Staff Cadre (DR) shall be carried out as explained in the following Paragraphs notified by the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India Department of Posts in respect of the Postal Circles, Railway Mail Service Divisions and Circle & Administrative Offices in Odisha State.
The Marks obtained in the Aptitude Test shall be considered to draw merit for each Recruiting Division and Selection will be purely on Merit Basis.
Provided that Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with Disabilities (Physically Challenged / Handicapped) Candidates, who are selected on their respective Merit without Relaxed Standards, together with the Candidates belonging to other Communities, will not be adjusted against the Reserved Share of the Vacancies.
Such Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with Disabilities (Physically Challenged / Handicapped Candidates) would be accommodated against the General / Un-Reserved Vacancies as per their respective Position in the Merit List. Reserved Community Vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the Eligible Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Physically Handicapped Candidates, which will, thus, comprise the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes and Persons with Disabilities Category Candidates, who remain Lower in Merit than the Last General Candidate on the Merit List of the Un-Reserved Category but otherwise found suitable for Appointment even by Relaxed Standard.
It is further stated:
- If Two or more Candidates secure Equal Marks in the Objective Written Aptitude Test and they stand in the Last Position in the Merit List, then it is clearly stated that the Candidate Senior / Older in Age shall be considered for Selection;
- If Two or more Candidates secure Equal Marks in Written Aptitude Test and they are stand in the Last Position in the Merit List & their respective Ages also remain the same, then the Candidates who secured Higher Percentage in the Matriculation would be considered for Selection
